Placemaker’s Development Principles help to guide every decision made for every project--at every stage. From conception through to completion of all ventures, the principles work to shape, energize, & distinguish our development strategy, allowing us to remain true to our core mission time and time again. Planning, design, construction, community engagement--these guiding principles ensure we’re consistent, innovative, & human-first through it all.
So our projects don’t just develop, but flourish.
We prioritize engagement in all that we build, allowing us to construct spaces that don’t just serve their function - but foster positive, sustainable impact too.
We create timeless, adaptable communities that celebrate the cultures of today while supporting the evolving community needs & expectations of tomorrow.
We build ecosystems that support, nourish, & value their inhabitants, resulting in a positive, symbiotic relationship between people and places.
We create innovative, vibrant environments where communities feel welcome to adventure, try new things, & lean into their natural instinct to play.
We design spaces that promote and facilitate social interaction, resulting in an environment that fosters cooperation & human connection above all else.
We create environments that are designed to be interacted with, relied on, and used, empowering people to connect with their surroundings -- nature, culture, or otherwise.
We build ecosystems that work to promote independence, cooperation, and growth - so that communities can learn from, support, and achieve with each other.
We create resilient, diverse communities where people of all backgrounds, abilities, and interests can thrive.
We design and build spaces that enrich the rhythms of daily life, foster activity & connection, and empower each individual community to thrive.

Perched on the gentle slope of the mountain and inspired by views of Deep Cove, Cove Gardens is a series of eight contemporary townhouses and one commercial space in North Vancouver.
We are thrilled to announce that our proposed Port Moody project, which was formerly referred to as Kyle + Clarke, is now officially named 'Mary Anne's Place' in honor of the late Dr. Mary Anne Cooper -- a heritage and community activist who dedicated her life to improving the lives of those living in Port Moody.
Nell's Place is named after one of Vancouver's most notable pioneers, Helena Rose Gutteridge.
We are humbled and encouraged by the feedback we received at the Public Information Meeting on Monday, December 5th for our proposed Mary Anne's Place project.
